Baby Watch

When you're a new parent of a child, one thing is probably true, its your job to make sure your child receives quality early education.

Currently, there is a childcare crisis in Australia where parents who want or need to work cannot due to affordability and availability. This causes significant stress in the home, logistical nightmares with drop-offs and pick-ups, and an estimated loss of 5.5 billion each year in national productivity.

That’s why at Baby Watch, we've developed an interactive map which uses Child Care Administrative Data to show key factors influencing the cost and availability of childcare services. Furthermore, it will highlight key areas where more data can be utilized to help decision makers analyse childcare data better.

In turn, with these findings the NSW government can determine which areas need improvement in terms of childcare services.
