According to https://www.cityofparramatta.nsw.gov.au/about-parramatta/key-council-documents/demographics/people-and-neighbourhoods, between 2014 to 2015 Parramatta City Council spent $2.3 million on community sporting ground upgrades. Council also used $232,000 to upgrade community playgrounds. Another $13.5 million were utilized to deliver recreational facilities and programs.
However there no data about recreation and leisure activities using those facilities. The council does not have no accessible direct data about participation of sports or leisure to measure the effectiveness of their budget spending by improving the sport and recreation facilities.
