Our Aim:
In everyday life, people travel all the time whether it be by car or walking. We would like to help people and the community to find community facilities and also show how close it is to other facilities, using the data provided by the Australian Government. This can be useful for new people or anyone wanting more information about the community.
Our application will feature a map, which contains disability information for each region. It also allow us to visualise facilities such as public restrooms, hospitals, schools, police stations, libraries and skate parks. We have provided several filtering options as well as allowing users to change the radius size from facilities to find overlaps between them. We also have used data visualisation tools to show how the ACT Budget is broken down into smaller sections.
The data sets we used for this project as well as the reasons for entering the various awards are provided below.
