Open Data Aggregation Pilot – A leading city

To allow apps built on open data to scale across councils, we are working on an Open Council Data Platform API (http://opencouncildata.github.io/Platform) , which currently includes data such as garbage collection zones, dog walking zones, public toilets and drainpipes.

Apps that use this API will automatically take advantage of open data becoming available for a new council and the more apps that use it, the easier it will be to convince councils to publish open data.

Winning criteria:
The winning entry will be:
- A solution that works in several different council areas, to solve any consumer
problem, using any one or more datasets from the Open Council Data Platform API.
- The app must access the API in order to be eligible.
