"On average, one tree produces nearly 260 pounds of oxygen each year. Two mature trees can provide enough oxygen for a family of four."

These days people have physical and mental health issues. People sit at home and not engage with  nature and community.

Victoria governments, such as the city of Melbourne and the city of Wyndham, provide detailed information of hundreds of thousands of trees. This kind of data is not only a good resource for people to learn about the species, but also a great opportunity to encourage people to get a better connection with the environment and the community.

Our project, "TreeMate", is an innovative mobile app created based on the tree data provided by the City of Wyndham and the City of Melbourne. We also take Victoria climate data which provides solar exposure and rainfall information. We have turned such information into a playable game. We hope this game will encourage people to pay more attention to, and be more connected to our environment; furthermore, the social aspects of the game is designed to connect people through our environment.
